Become a Trustee at Southend YMCA – Help Us Change Lives

Southend YMCA is a long-established, award-winning charity and registered housing provider, dedicated to supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged children, young people, and families across South Essex. With roots dating back over 100 years, we deliver services that include supported housing, education and training, health and wellbeing initiatives, mentoring, and positive activities- helping thousands of young people each year to thrive.

We are seeking committed individuals to join our Board of Trustees. Trustees have overall responsibility for ensuring the charity is well-run, financially sound, and delivering on its mission. You don’t need prior board experience- just integrity, strategic vision, and a passion for making a difference. Training and induction will be provided.

What’s involved?

• Attend 6–8 Board meetings per year (hybrid format)
• Support key events and campaigns
• Contribute your skills and experience to help shape our future
